Branching Out - Belong

Belong is about community and relationships, but it's also about team and the motto "together everyone achieves more."  New Life Community Church is a place to belong, not just hang out.  Have you ever been on a really successful sports or business team.  It's fun, isn't it?!  The power of belong is synergy.  We really can accomplish more together.  The promise of belong is knowing "I'm never alone."  The privilege of belong is the opportunity to contribute and bless others.  So why not "belong" at New Life?  See you Sunday @ the ARC.  Tom Ragsdell

I Love America Festival-Save the date

July 4th is just around the corner and I can't wait.  This year July 4th is on Sunday, so why not join us out at the Boone County Fairgrounds for a celebration of America's birthday.

This year there are opportunities for groups or businesses to sponsor the event or to reserve space to set up a booth representing your organization.  More info to follow.  Just wanted to get a shout out there for ILA 2010.  Please help spread the word.

I Love America Festival.  Boone County Fairgrounds. Sunday, July 4th (3 PM until dark).

Branching Out - Belong

Branching Out is a way of life at New Life Community Church.  Recently we went through a process of selecting a new logo for NLCC.  We chose the new life tree not only because it has a classic look, but the symbolism of the tree speaks volumes to every new lifer.

At New Life we are branching out as we grow our new life tree.  This week we are focusing on our core value of BELONG.  Belong id about relationships and community.  We want every new lifer to enjoy Christian community as they grow in their spiritual journey of faith.  We really believe that community can make a difference in your spiritual journey.  Come join us Sunday and learn more about the value of BELONG.  See you @ the ARC on Sunday at 10:15 AM. God is . . . Relentless

Relentless . . . The dictionary definition is a little negative, so bear with me as I go in a positive direction. Do you have anybody in your life who loves you unconditionally, who believes in you without restraint, and encourages you without hesitation? If you do--that person is a picture of God's relentless presence in your life.

The Bible reveals to us a God who is relentless in fulfilling his plans, purposes, and promises. Just as God causes the sun to rise and fall, so too does he execute his plans with faithful precision.

So what about you and me? We know God is faithful to his plans, but how does that impact our lives? The good news is that God is not only relentless in pursuing his purposes, but he is relentless in pursuing us so that we can participate with him in his purposes, promises, and plans. You are a big part of God's plans!!!

Paul says it best in Philippians, "But I press on to take hold of that for which Jesus took hold of me." (3:12) If God has taken hold of your life, he won't let go. He will finish what he has begun.

Join us Sunday as we consider God's faithfulness to his plans and to our lives. See you @ the ARC. Pastor Tom
