Power of the Resurrection

This Sunday, we are kicking off our series, "He is Risen".  I hope you will join us.  The series will lead us through the book of Romans and remind us of the gospel story and the power of a life-changing relationship with God.

This Sunday we will focus on Romans 1:16-17.  Paul wrote to the Roman believers only 27-30 years after Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead.  As Paul begins his letter to the Roman believers, he is focused on the power of Christ' resurrection.  Come experience a resurrection in your walk with God.

Ready, Set, Grow - Belong!

What a great start to our March series on spiritual growth.  This past Sunday, we focused on the New Life core value of BEGIN - exploring and embracing biblical truth.  We took a look at the story of Nicodemus and Jesus and what it means to experience spiritual rebirth.  This next Sunday, we will continue to press forward in our quest for spiritual growth in Christ Jesus.  A second core value at New Life represents another spiritual milestone in our journey.  We call it BELONG by enjoying Christian community.  Many believers today underestimate the power of "belonging".  Join us Sunday as we consider the importance of building solid relationships in the church and growing spiritually as we do.  See you Sunday.  Pastor Tom

Ready, Set, Grow!

This Sunday, we kick off our March spiritual growth / vision series, entitled "Ready, Set, Grow!"  I hope you will join in each Sunday as we ask God to help us grow and make spiritual commitments which allow God's Spirit to be at work in our lives.   This Sunday, we will get started with the first core value of New Life - BEGIN.  We believe that every New Lifer should begin a spiritual journey of faith in Christ Jesus by exploring and embracing biblical truth.

One of the foundational questions we will be asking on Sunday is "Why is growing spiritually important?" Most of us have more important things going on, right?!  We are striving to make our marriage work, become the best parent possible, and make the money necessary to be comfortable and provide for our needs and wants.

Here's the reason spiritual growth is so important: all of those pursuits are fruitless without God.  Your spiritual growth is essential to accomplishing many of the great goals in life.  Few people connect the dots, but if you want a truly great romance and marriage, you need to grow up spiritually.  If you want to become the best parent possible for your kids, you need God's help!   If you want to make a lot of money and not end up miserable, you need to grow up spiritually!

The Bible says, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." (James 1:17)   I believe God has good things in store for your life, but the key to experiencing God's good gifts is to allow God to produce in you a transformed life -- a life transformed to be more like Jesus.
